I am 54 yrs old Postgraduate in Civil Engineering, accidently ventured into stock market in 2006-07 observing an office colleague who always boasted about his huge earnings from stock market for a long period, so I also dived in. On following his advises/ preaching's never earned decently but went into trap to deploy more funds to recover the losses. At point, we both lost heavily in stock market crash of 2008. My colleague who boasted himself as an expert bid farewell to stock market. I paused, a question always haunted in my mind who earns in stock market, thereafter, journey of learning technical analysis started. Inspite of ongoing learnings, I was not sure how to implement technical analysis practically to commence earning. The time gradually passed, I built several trading systems on Amibroker, tested them, scrapped, rebuild & retest on paper trades & sometimes on real trades too.

Under pressure to mitigate financial losses, left Govt job in 2011 and ventured into a private sector job on descent salary, dislocated from Delhi.

The technical learnings continued and trading systems, skills were continuedly polished and actual profitable journey in Algo Trading was commenced from year 2019. Once gained confidence, left Pvt sector job also in Sept,2021 to take up full time Algo Trading here onwards.

The stock market had taught several good/ bad/ ugly lessons to remain humble, calm which helped to improvise the trading skills and their consequent implementation in Realtime trading.

My friends and other known insisted me to expand and use API Bridges to do copy trading for them too on profits sharing basis. I started with little hesitation, but by the grace of Almighty God blessed all is going fine.

This made both parties happy, they are getting a passive income and I am also gaining an extra profit with same efforts. Copy trade is just replicating trades into other's trading account with their consent within fraction of a second via Algo Trading. Except monitoring the process all trades go in Auto Mode.

Basis past learning/ experiences, I restrict Algo Trading in Nifty Futures, BankNifty Futures & SilverMini as this helps me in keeping the distraction, emotions, and temptations under control to have a target average return on capital deployed in the range of 5% to 10% per month on consistent basis.

The journey of a trader is still never easy, smooth. In fact, it always goes through troughs, but risk management helps & continuous challenge in this profession brings thrills.
